So this number rang me up asking for my manager, but I told them she wasn't about and offered to pass on a message instead. Then, suddenly, they just ended the call. It struck me as pretty odd that someone would just drop the call like that when they couldn't talk to who they wanted. The bloke on the line had a really soft voice, but I never caught his name. Personally, I wouldn’t hand out any details without getting clear info on who they are and why they're calling first.

So, the first time these people rang, they actually called someone else on the same team who then passed them our main office line. The receptionist then put the call straight through to me. They asked if I was in charge of company mobile phones and if they could send some brochures to my email. Weird thing is, they already had my email and the company's postcode. When I asked who I was actually speaking to, a woman with a strong Indian accent said her name was Wendy Smith - definitely didn’t sound like that to me. The chat was rushed and I couldn’t really catch most of it, she just thanked me and hung up suddenly. She did mention she'd found me on LinkedIn, which struck me as a bit dodgy. Something about the whole thing doesn’t sit right.
