So this bloke from India rang me up today saying he was from EE. I just let him carry on with his spiel. After that, I got a text with some kind of code, which he wanted me to share. I gave him a bogus 6-digit number, so naturally it didn’t do anything. Then I asked why he kept calling me 'mam' instead of using my name, and would you believe it, he just ended the call.

I phoned this number to sort out my EE broadband renewal and it’s definitely legit. It’s listed on EE’s official site as one of the contact numbers they use for different issues. So, no worries, it’s a proper customer services line.

Some bloke called saying he was from EE, so I gave him made-up details to see what happens. He acted like everything was right, but when I told him no code had come through, he got really annoyed. He said he’d ring back, and when he did, I mentioned EE had reached out to me. Then he just swore at me and slammed the phone down. Proper rude.

Your code's 3181. Cheers." Seems like they're trying to warn about fraud, but I’m a bit iffy about it!

I got an email that looked just like it came from EE, really well done and proper professional. It had two links too - one for an app and another for a phone. Then I ended up talking to a woman with an Irish accent who sounded quite believable, but some of the stuff she asked and said just didn’t quite add up.

This number, 0330 123 1105, belongs to an EE customer service line. While some numbers mentioned in other reviews might be suspicious, this one is totally legit and safe to use. Just be sure to double-check the sender’s email address before responding - in this instance, it was [email protected], which is authentic.

Got a text supposedly from EE saying I won a discount. They said to confirm by speaking to one of their "agents," then they'd text a 4-digit code from what looked like EE's number. Heads up, don’t ever share that code! It’s actually a password reset code meant to hack into your account if you give it away. Be careful with these scams!

Watch out for calls from 02033980839 and 20280443680, they claim to be from EE and say your SIM card isn’t secure. It’s definitely a scam. I got a call from 02080445684 claiming to be from EE, saying they needed to update my SIM and would be sending a 4-digit code, then asked me to share that code with them. The text message arrived from 03301231105 and told me to ring that number if I hadn't asked for the code. They also checked if I was happy with my EE plan. Apparently, they're sending a new SIM card which should turn up the next day. Feels like a scam to me - maybe they want you to ring 03301231105 or try to catch you out if the SIM never arrives. Immediately thought it had to be some dodgy scam since no sensible business would bother calling that late at night. I just gave it a miss and blocked it straight away. Honestly, I can't see why anyone would bother reporting this number. It's actually the one BT uses for people to flag scams. Just a heads up though, scammers can fake this number so it shows up on your caller ID - they can make it look like it’s coming from anywhere, whether that’s local, a London number, Manchester, or even a spoofed mobile number. So be cautious!

Watch out everyone, this person says they're from EE but it's just a total scam. Don't fall for it, they're just another sneaky con artist trying to trick you.

Received a message from EE’s legit texting service saying I needed to ring a certain number or else my order would be cancelled. Thing is, I don’t think I have any orders with them right now. I got in touch with EE customer support and they just said they’d look into it and confirmed everything on my account is settled. Makes me wonder if EE’s system got compromised for these messages to actually come through their official text platform.

They rang me and I picked up but they just hung up straight away. Then almost immediately, another call came from a number that looked almost the same but the last few digits were different, and they did the exact same thing.

Got a call from 07973100194 on my landline, this bloke claimed to be from EE but I wasn’t giving out any info. Shortly after, I got a text saying they’d tried to reach me and to ring EE on 03301231105. I decided to ring EE on their normal number just to check, and they had no clue about any calls or texts to me. Sounds like a right dodgy scam to me!

Looks like Kevin Bacon’s trying to earn some extra cash on the sly. Total scam if you ask me!

I find it rather baffling, to be honest. They've bombarded me with countless emails, and now they've resorted to mailing me letters as well.

Thanks to my security, my phone managed to catch a scam number. What a relief!

Got an email claiming I owed £27.16 and that there would be extra fees if I didn’t pay up. Thing is, I’m not even a customer of EE. Watch out, people, looks dodgy!

Trying to track down a payment for my internet bill.

I got a message claiming to be from EE, my internet provider. It looked legit because my past bill reminders from EE were also there in the thread, so I didn’t suspect anything at first. The message said my internet service had been cancelled and gave a number, 0330 123 1105, to call if I wanted to reactivate it. Doubtful, I rang EE using a number from my original contract documents. They confirmed they hadn’t sent that text, my internet was still active, and that 0330 123 1105 was actually a fraud number. Be careful out there!

Received a dodgy email claiming to be from EE about an overdue payment, complete with a phone number. This was back in September 2023. Beware!

I received an email supposedly from EE telling me I had to update my bank info because a payment of £46.50 didn’t go through. But I know my bill is charged at the end of each month, not on the 11th like the email said. Plus, I never pay anywhere near that much. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Got an email claiming I owed £27.16 on my EE account and needed to update my payment details to avoid restrictions and extra fees. It looked pretty legit, with a proper signature and legal stuff at the end. The contact number they gave was this one, which, like others mentioned, is definitely a scam number. No personal info or name was included in the mail, but there was an attachment that was pretending to be an official unpaid bill.

Got an email pretending to be from EE saying I had to pay £27.16. It really looked proper legit but I’d just cleared my bill, so I knew it was a con. The phone number was included in that dodgy email.

Received a call from 0330 123 1105, and they claimed to represent EE. They seemed to have my bank info at hand, but I fibbed a bit and ended the conversation abruptly. Always stay cautious!

Got an email from what looked like "EE" but it was sent to the wrong name and talked about some new user terms. The message said if I had questions about "my order" I should ring this number. Before ringing, I decided to look up the number to check if it really belonged to EE - luckily, it didn’t. Glad I didn’t end up calling it!

I've been inundated with calls from this number, along with an email concerning a failed payment with EE. They were pestering me to update my payment details, claiming they couldn’t handle my latest EE bill. Good effort, but I’m actually a customer of Three, not EE!
