I had a rather concerning phone call from this number at 5:04 PM on Friday, the 3rd of May, 2024. A woman on the line stated she was representing Nationwide Bank. After a short chit-chat, she started firing off security questions regarding my account to confirm my identity. As the minutes ticked by, I felt increasingly uncomfortable with the whole situation and decided it was best to hang up and call the number printed on my credit card instead. By that point, I had already divulged my card details, full name, and address, though I can’t recall if I mentioned my date of birth. When I got in touch with Nationwide directly, they reassured me that they hadn’t made the call at all. As a precaution, I’ve since cancelled my card and requested a new one.
