I just had a rather dodgy call claiming they were following up on some safety books we supposedly sponsored for a school. They wanted to know if we were keen to do it once more. I honestly have no memory of this and before I could clarify, they simply cut off the line. Seems like a classic case of invoice scam to me!

Every now and then, we receive a call from this number, usually once or twice annually, where the individual on the other end seems to think we’re involved in some sort of initiative related to educational books. They go on to express their gratitude for our company's purported backing. As soon as I clarify that we’ve not participated in any such programme, they promptly end the call. It’s rather puzzling, to say the least!

On 08/07/2020, someone named Sophie rang saying she was from child safety. She claimed I’d agreed to put an advert in their safety brochure and now had to pay up. I told her I never agreed to anything, but she just said she’d send it to debt collectors if I didn’t pay.

Got a call from someone saying they were with child protection. I told them to leave a message but they just dropped the call. Really want to block this number now.

Got a call from some charity campaign thing about bullying in schools - sounded like a woman from Yorkshire. Turns out it was some scam, she just popped up in my post linked to swindling £4.7 million. Proper dodgy.
