On the 29th of July 2023, my phone rang four times from this number, and each call ended up costing me £3! What a nuisance!

I recently fell victim to a dodgy phone number that ended up costing me £6 courtesy of EE. Apparently, this number has been linked to some rather unsavoury activities. Quite the hassle, really!

I've also been attempting to get in touch with OVO or possibly hearing from Boost Energy. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

The sole company I reached out to was OVO/Boost Energy. As a fresh customer, I attempted to get through to customer service but was met with the standard pre-recorded messages (press 1 for this, 2 for that, and so on). Unfortunately, I never got the chance to converse with a real person. They mentioned that due to the high volume of calls, I could take care of what I needed online. They then sent me an SMS from 60109 containing a link, but it was of no help, as I found myself needing to communicate with a representative again as a new customer. It's clear that the charges for the call and the texts are definitely associated with these two sister companies.

I've been getting incessant calls from this number, and when I don’t pick up, they follow up with a text message that ends up costing me £2.50 each time from my mobile provider. It’s incredibly frustrating! 😡

There's a charge from EE on my account, the number is 0330 1222559. Honestly, I can't recall if I called them or they called me, it's all a bit fuzzy.

Fraud Alert!
I’ve just noticed a £6 deduction from my EE account. I'm baffled as I didn’t even pick up the call and blocked the number straight away.

I've just received a bill for £12 linked to this number, yet I have no subscription with them. Quite perplexing, if you ask me!

The information provided by O2 mirrors what I've received from Square 1 Communications, who claim it pertains to a subscription I supposedly signed up for. The truth is, I haven’t agreed to any subscriptions at all. On the day they referenced for these charges, I neither sent nor received any messages or calls. It’s quite alarming and feels like a potential scam!

I had a rather similar experience, down to the very same sum! I'm on EE as well. Were they any assistance when you reached out to them?

I'm currently with EE, and I’ve just noticed my phone bill has skyrocketed to an unexpected £52.98! What on earth is this “call connection service” associated with 03301 222 559? I spotted their email as [email protected], but to be honest, I’m too anxious to reach out. It feels like a potential scam to me! I don’t even recall receiving any calls. Out of the blue, I’ve been hit with a £12 charge from that number and a whopping £40.98 from another number (09015 450 336). Both of these appeared on my statement at the precise same date and time! I haven't dialled either one, so I'm really hoping EE will sort this out and reimburse me!

I've noticed a charge of £2.50 appearing four times on my O2 bill, and I'm completely baffled as to who is responsible for this. It's quite frustrating!

I find myself in quite the predicament! Four calls to a number I've never even heard of have appeared on my phone bill, each costing me £3.00! My phone provider is adamant that I must have called them, but that simply isn't the case. I've never even come across this number or placed a call to it. According to the company, some third party managed to ring this number via my smartphone. Mind you, I’ve only been using the phone for a mere four weeks. At 84 years of age and living on my own, I assure you my phone has remained untouched by anyone. What a puzzling situation! - Patricia Goodall

I’ve noticed this number cropping up four times on my mobile bill, each time charging me £3.00. I definitely did not dial that number! I’m struggling to get my mobile provider to take me seriously; they keep saying the call originated from my device. At 84 years old and having only had this smartphone for a mere four weeks, I’m feeling quite out of my depth with it all. I really wish I had held off on getting a smartphone-it’s proving to be more trouble than it’s worth!

At the ripe age of 84, I’ve only just acquired my very first smartphone, and it’s been quite the adventure! However, to my dismay, my inaugural bill came with a peculiar charge of £3.00 for four calls to an unfamiliar number. I assure you, I did not make these calls, and it’s left me rather anxious about using my device.

Quite alarming, this number. It’s racked up an extra £15.32 on my phone bill without any justification whatsoever. Seems like a classic scam to me. They ring you and entice you to return the call, and suddenly you find yourself facing an unexpected charge. I'm completely in the dark about who these people are.

Watch out for these mobile bank fees! I keep getting hit with £2.50 from some dodgy code (60109). Tried sorting it with O2 but they just won’t help or refund me. The only way to stop it is to text STOP, otherwise they’ll keep charging you.

Absolutely alarming! This number has somehow racked up close to £400 on my bill, and I've never even picked up or dialled it. How on earth is that even possible?

I've just noticed a charge of £14 on my bill for a call to a number I don't recognise at all. It seems my mobile provider informed me that my number has been signed up for some sort of subscription service without my consent. To make matters worse, they mentioned I should have received a text regarding how to opt out, but I never got any such message. Quite baffling, really!

My mother noticed a peculiar £3 charge on her mobile bill recently, which thankfully isn’t a hefty sum. However, she has absolutely no idea what it might relate to! The mobile provider suggested that it could be for text message alerts related to television shows or perhaps some music and gaming services. Considering she's 81 and predominantly uses her phone just for chatting with family and making local calls, this whole situation has left us quite baffled!
