2 yearsThey rang me up but never bothered to leave a message.2 yearsThey rang but never left any message.3 yearsI didn’t answer the phone but I rang 1471 afterwards to find out the caller’s number, and it turns out it was 03301220072. I really don’t understand why these idiots can’t get real jobs instead of annoying everyone with their pointless calls.3 yearsI checked with my elderly dad about his bank info, but luckily he doesn’t know the details or have direct access to his account - thank goodness I made sure of that.3 yearsThis number rang me three times today. The first time, the person actually knew my name and my old address from last year, so I politely told them to buzz off, wasn’t interested. When they rang back shortly after, they asked why I’d ended the call - so I just hung up. They made a third call right away, and this time I used my firmest Royal Navy tone, told them to get lost and called them out as a scammer, then they hung up. The bloke on the phone had a noticeable Asian accent, as I said.3 yearsReceived a phone call from this number and it was some pushy bloke with an Asian accent asking for the “mrs” about the insurance on a couple of devices at our place. He kept insisting I pay yearly which isn’t true at all. I ended the call and right after, he rang back, demanding to know if I’d just hung up on him. I told him yeah, I had, and that I don’t have any insurance with them nor do I pay yearly. After that, he just said “ok goodbye” and hung up. This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this same call.3 yearsI got a call from someone saying we qualified for a discount since we hadn't filed any claims. They asked for our bank info but we said no. They claimed to be from Domestic Insurance, which we don’t even have a policy with. It’s definitely a scam, so watch out if you get a call from this number!Domestic Insurance3 yearsToday I got a call from this number. The person on the line had all my details pretty fast, so I only caught that the company was something to do with appliance cover. He told me that since I hadn’t made any claims in a year, they’d be lowering my yearly payment by £120, which sounded great at first. But then he started asking for my bank info. I told him that should already be on file since I’m paying the premiums. He got a bit irritable and argued, so I ended the call. Right after, he rang back saying I’d been rude for hanging up, but I just said I wasn’t interested in continuing. They kept calling nonstop, so I left my phone off the hook for a bit. About an hour later, someone claiming to be his manager rang, assuring me they only wanted the last 8 digits after my sort code from my cheque book - which I told him was basically my bank info and hung up. Both men spoke English well and were Asian.3 yearsMy elderly folks got caught up in this as well. I happened to be with them when the caller tried pushing way too hard. My dad tried to be polite, saying something like, "Thanks but no thanks, goodbye," and then hung up. The phone rang again almost immediately, so I picked it up. The caller thought I was my dad and started giving me a real earful for hanging up and being rude.Dad4 yearsGot a ring from this number and a bloke said he was ringing on behalf of Domestic & General, pushing some insurance offers. He started asking for bank info and sounded real convincing, especially to an older family member. When I jumped in and took the call, he suddenly got all defensive and ended the call quite quickly. We got in touch with Domestic & General afterwards, and they confirmed it wasn’t their call. So yeah, definitely a scam.Submit Your Own Report (0330 122 0072)
