The caller actually knew my name and even started telling me where I live. It freaked me out quite a bit, so I just ended the call immediately.

Like someone else said before, he claimed I’d signed up to sponsor some schools. Now that the programme was over, he was asking for £299. They also mentioned they’d post me a certificate and put my name in a directory as a sponsor.
