I was taken aback when the caller mentioned my name and even detailed my address. It sent shivers down my spine, so I decided to end the call immediately.

As I previously indicated, he claimed that I had committed to supporting schools, and now that the programme has concluded, he was asking for £299. They mentioned they would provide a certificate and that my name would be listed in their directory as a sponsor.

Fraudulent activity. They claimed our company was funding nearby schools. The person on the phone clearly struggled with saying the school names correctly. They were after £299!

I found this caller to be quite unsettling and menacing. They attempted to pull a fast one on me, demanding money outright! Their threat was rather alarming; they claimed they'd take legal action against me if I didn’t promptly settle an invoice.
