So honestly, the best thing to do is just block the number straight away. That way it just cuts off without even letting your phone ring. These people are such a pain. I've tried being polite, telling them I'm not interested and to remove me from their list, then asked if it was about smart meters, said no thanks and hung up; now they just don’t even pick up. If their smart meters are anything like their approach, probably better to just ignore them. Hopefully they’ll bugger off eventually.

Absolute nightmare from SHELL ENERGY, they are seriously unrelenting. They keep hassling my disabled, deaf, elderly mum claiming she owes thousands of pounds but she’s not even a customer with them. Proper scammers, no surprise they raked in billions last year.

Got an unexpected call with a voicemail about booking a time for a smart meter install, said it was from Shell or something. If we really wanted a smart meter installed, we’d have already requested it, so a bit unnecessary really.

They keep trying to convince people to get smart meters even when they can perfectly read their own. Proper hassle, honestly. Got a call from someone claiming to be from Shell Energy pushing Smart Meters. I told them I wasn’t interested, but they kept saying it was "the law" that I had to have one. When I asked which law, they just went quiet. I told them not to ring again. They phoned back almost immediately saying they'd visit on Monday. I made it clear I wasn’t letting them in and would call the police if they showed up.

Lots of folks are quick to call this a scam, which just causes needless worry. This number actually belongs to a firm that partners with Shell to fit smart meters. Since they also do some marketing, I can see why they might be a bit pushy or irritating on the phone, and I get why people are cautious of third-party sales calls reading from a script. But this isn’t some kind of trick or fraud. If you don’t want to talk to them, just block the number. Anyone expecting a meter installation shouldn't be afraid or stressed about it.

Got a call from 03300945231 on 24/5/23 around 13:40, some guy with an Indian accent going on about a "Smart" meter. I told him I wasn’t interested but he just kept cutting me off and going on, so I finally said "Not interested" and hung up. Wish you could still just slam the phone down like before.

Got a call from +44 330 094 5231 at 17:26 today, 12/05/2023. The person claimed to be from Shell Energy, talking about fitting my smart meter. I said no thanks, not interested. Decided to look up the number and surprise, it’s a scam. I’ll be sharing this on Facebook to warn others.

I’m not sure who it is, but this number has been flagged again as some dodgy caller, and it’s the second time today. It’s really getting bad that someone from round here is getting these calls nonstop. Whoever it is, they’re causing a lot of worry and stress, and people want their local MP to look into it.

When the woman called, I told her right off the bat that I thought it was a scam and bluntly told her to "F--- off." She started rambling on about second generation meters - SMETS 2, which I already know plenty about. What a waste of time!
