I answered the phone since it wasn’t mine but someone else’s. The caller claimed they could assist with checking out different phone deals. But as soon as I explained that the phone didn’t belong to me, they just ended the call straightaway.

Got a call from some bloke saying he’s from a phone company trying to cut my costs. I told him I’m quite fine with my provider and my bill, so he should just call someone else. But nah, he kept going on and wouldn’t take no for an answer, going back and forth for a good minute. Eventually, I just had to hang up on him. Proper cheeky scammer if you ask me.

This was a total scam, pretending to give discounts but really just trying to steal personal info. I’ve had a few calls like this from numbers looking a lot like EE’s, offering massive deals. Didn’t fall for it and blocked the number straight away. Not worth the hassle!
