Today I picked up a call from this number since I was expecting someone to ring me, but it turned out to be about PPI claims linked to Barclaycard and so on. They requested my postcode and email, nothing beyond that. I used to have a Barclaycard and was with RBS, which I think NatWest has recently acquired. So it could be legit, but it also might just be a scam. My phone number is ex-directory and I’m on the TPS, so they really shouldn’t be calling me unless it’s someone I know or related to a job opportunity. KeithCP2

In the past couple of days, this number has made seven attempts to get in touch with me. I've been advised to avoid picking up the call entirely. If the caller had any genuine intention to reach me, they would surely have sent a text, allowing me to identify them and understand their purpose.

Some woman rang saying she was a lawyer checking about a refund I supposedly asked for. I had reported a missing parcel to my bank, so thought it might be connected. She went on naming all sorts of cards I supposedly own. I kept saying no and she just hung up suddenly. Her accent was really hard to follow too.

A caller rang me up insisting they were from Sky, but I have my doubts about that. They were prattling on about some TV insurance I apparently have, yet I don't recall taking any policy out with Sky at all. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
