BEWARE! THEY’VE SWITCHED NUMBERS (03300570660) I got a call from this number claiming to be Vodafone, but the caller had a really thick Arabic accent and struggled even saying “Vodafone” properly. They said they were calling from London and tried pushing a Vodafone mobile contract on me. Something felt off, so I asked for their full address and phone number, then ended the call straight away. Luckily, my mate was nearby, and when I told him about it, he said he got a very similar call a few months ago. Some guy from a random number offered him a Vodafone contract, asked for all sorts of personal info including his bank details and the 3-digit security code. My mate never got anything from them and thought it was a credit issue. But three months later, Vodafone actually sent him a phone without any confirmation! He then listened back to the call recording with that company and realised they said they'd do a credit check every three months - contradicting what they told him about deleting his info. This messed up his credit score big time. I even checked the address they gave me - 1 Olympic Way, Wembley - but there was no “Mobiles Zone” or anything like that there. I spoke to a friend who actually works for Vodafone, and he told me they don’t deal like this at all; no one should ever ask for the 3-digit card security code, and you always get a verification code on your phone. Also, no official Vodafone calls come as “on behalf of Vodafone.” The sketchy thing is the number on the call recording (03300884769) wasn’t the one they just used on me (03300570660), so it looks like they keep switching numbers to avoid being caught. It’s clear these are scammers operating from overseas using fake details. Stay alert and don’t get caught out!

I got a call from an unknown number which I thought was a follow-up from a contract phone ad I’d just filled out on Facebook. They handed me this number as their "customer service" contact. Turned out it was a scam - they asked for my bank info and promised the phone would arrive within 2-3 days. Later on, I searched the customer service number they gave me and found out it’s linked to scams. I cancelled my card immediately. Luckily, the account I gave them was empty, so at least no money was lost!

I got a call from her as well, she was really nice and super helpful. Thanks to her, I managed to get a phone without having to pay anything upfront.

This number rang me up claiming to be from Vodafone, trying to pitch me an internet deal. The person speaking had a weird accent and the call quality was dodgy, barely making out what they were saying. Don’t fall for it - in the UK they don’t ask for any verification fees when checking your details. When the caller mentioned some sort of upfront payment, I just hung up straight away. If they start talking about paying stuff before anything else, just stop answering.

So, I got a ring from these lot and honestly, they weren’t trying to scam me or owt. The bloke on the phone, Ryan, mentioned something about a Vodafone contract. I got my phone within five days, which was pretty quick. The only glitch was the signal wasn’t great, so I ended up sending it back.

Got a call from someone who said her name was Alice, claiming to ring from Vodafone here in London. She had a bit of an unusual accent though, definitely sounded foreign. She was trying to convince me to sign up for a Vodafone mobile plan. Pretty sure it was just a sales call.
