Got a text saying I'd missed calls from this number at 08:27 and 14:42 on 11th Sept. It said it was a free alert from O2, and to stop it I had to dial 901, then hit *, then pick option 5 twice. Thought it was suspicious so I just blocked the number instead of replying.

A while back I ignored a call from a number that seemed familiar, so I looked up the area code and saw it was from Leeds. The only place I know with that is First Direct bank. I rang my bank to confirm and they said it wasn’t one of theirs, so I ended up blocking the number. Today I got a call from a very similar number, just one number different, and I blocked that one straight away. Pretty obvious it’s a scam.

About half an hour ago I saw a missed call from an unknown number. I usually don’t pick up if I don’t recognise who it is. If it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail, but if they don’t, I just use a reverse phone lookup and then block the number.

Hello there! I received a call earlier today where a woman was speaking, but I struggled to catch what she was saying. It seemed to revolve around the recent PPI matters that I had expressed some curiosity about roughly half a year back.
However, the line fell silent after a while, so I made the decision to terminate the call. I'm left uncertain whether this was a legitimate inquiry. In all likelihood, it's probably just another one of those dodgy calls that seem to plague us these days.
