I got a call from them earlier, and they wanted me to give my full address, birthday, and name. Didn't feel right so I didn't say anything. Just blocked the number straight away!

I received a rather unexpected phone call from a chap who inquired if I was indeed ********. I replied in the affirmative, after which he proceeded to ask for my full address and date of birth. Naturally, I wanted to know the purpose of his inquiry and who exactly he represented. He claimed to be from MCEurope (shopdirect) and insisted that he couldn’t reveal any details about the call until I divulged my personal information. The whole exchange left me feeling rather uneasy about complying with his request, so I politely declined. He then mentioned that they could perhaps send me the information via post instead. While he may very well have had good intentions, I simply cannot bring myself to provide my personal information to someone who has called out of the blue without a satisfactory explanation. It’s always better to err on the side of caution in these situations, so I’ll stand firm in my decision to safeguard my details.
