I've been prompted to enter a code, and it seems they're attempting to extract money from me. Beware, it's definitely a fraudulent scheme. Stay vigilant!

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number during the wee hours, specifically between 1am and 2:30am. They’ve bombarded me with a multitude of calls which I chose to ignore. Not only that, but they left behind voice messages and texts urging me to use some code they provided, insisting I activate it within a mere ten minutes. The caller ID displayed as PayPal, but let’s be honest - PayPal wouldn’t repeatedly ring me like this!

Received an auth code from NatWest twice, along with 4 voicemails and 3 back-to-back calls all demanding the code. Definitely a scam - best to block and steer clear!

Got a text that looked like it was from my bank, then this number rang me asking for the code they supposedly sent. Don’t share your codes with anyone, just block the number straight away.

Total scam. They try to make a payment from your bank account using stolen info. Then you get a legit text from your bank with a code to confirm the payment. After that, these scammers ring you from this number and say you need to enter the code to stop the fake transaction - but actually it authorises it. Never give them the code. Just block the number and ignore any calls.

I can say without a doubt that this number is a total scam. They masqueraded as my bank, requesting that I enter a code I received for a payment I never authorised-mind you, this was at 1 in the morning. I received seven calls from them! Absolutely ridiculous!

Got a text with a PayPal code on my phone that I didn’t ask for, then started getting calls from this number right afterwards. Looks like someone might be trying to hack into my account since they already have my number and email. I've already switched up all my email passwords and plan to get a new phone number too, just to be safe.

Just changed my password when my iPhone alerted me someone was trying to access my account. Right after that, this number gave me a ring - pretty sure they were up to no good.

Got a message from this number saying they cancelled a payment. I blocked it straight away but then they sent another one warning me not to share my code with anyone, pretty sure they were trying to call but couldn’t coz I’d blocked them. My PayPal got hacked last week and luckily PayPal sorted it and gave me a refund as soon as I told them. I’ll be ringing the banks tomorrow and reporting this phone number.

0330 058 9481 watch out for this one, it’s definitely a scam. Got hit with 6 calls all in a row and then 6 texts right after, each with a one-time code saying I needed to update my internet banking info. They pretended to be from TSB which is just ridiculous. Honestly, with everything else happening these days, we don't need these fraudsters making life harder. Stay away from this number, seriously, just avoid it!

Received a text saying it was from my bank with a code for £221 sent to Aferry Ltd. After that, I got four calls from the same number but didn’t pick up since it showed as possible scam. They even had the last four digits of my new debit card. Going to try and contact my bank first thing tomorrow to sort it out.

I got a text that looked like it came from my real bank, even had the last four digits of my card in it. It said something about a code to approve a £100 payment to Mondo, then rang me asking to enter the code. The message had a "copy code" button, but thank goodness I didn’t tap it - feels like it would’ve processed the payment instantly if I had. I’d phoned a company earlier that day and thought this was their call back, so I answered without thinking much.

In just ten minutes, I got hit with 9 robocalls and a text containing a code. They claimed to be Lloyds - my bank - saying someone tried to take £250 from my account, and I had to enter the code to stop it. Every time I ignored the calls, they left me voicemails with the same message telling me to ring back. It’s late now so I haven’t managed to get through to Lloyds yet, but nothing shows up on my banking app. Feels like a total scam to me.

I ignored the call at first, but then they sent me three texts all the same, with a one-time code to pay flannelsfashion{###] using my card. They even included the last four digits of my card number. Within minutes, I had five voicemails. I tried checking the voicemail number the text mentioned, but it was some glitchy message. Sounds like a fake voicemail alert. I rang up my building society after and thankfully no money had been taken since I didn’t engage with any of it.

I've just had a right run-around! Six calls in under ten minutes, all from someone pretending to be my bank. They kept using my recognised name, but the thing is, I'm registered with them under a completely different name. They kept going on about £140 supposedly being deducted from my account and insisted I enter a passcode they claimed they'd sent - which unsurprisingly never arrived. It’s just a blatant scam! I've seen similar reports from others as well. Quite frankly, it’s appalling!
