12/05/2023 I got a call from a number I didn’t know, 0330 057 7850, and I didn’t pick up. Later, I worked out it was Talk Talk. I think it’s because I recently cancelled with them. I already told them in writing that my phone’s only for emergencies, but they must’ve ignored that and are now trying to persuade me to stick around. I even texted them to say I might be moving soon and had to cancel my landline. I have a proper phone anxiety and don’t want them calling me again. If they keep going on, can I report them?

Fortunately, I managed to avoid a call from this number on my mobile, and after doing a bit of digging on Google and perusing the comments here, I can confirm I’m indeed switching from TalkTalk to Plusnet. Just yesterday, I received an email from TalkTalk saying, “WE’D LO❤️E YOU TO STAY,” presumably to save me the trouble of leaving (very amusing!). In reality, it’s more about saving me the headache of trying to navigate their convoluted website and ending up in a never-ending loop, not to mention the extra £5 a month they’ve decided to slap on for something I never asked for, without prior notice. Curiously, they haven’t tried ringing my landline (yet?), but now I’m on high alert!

I've been inundated with calls from 03300577850-four times in just one day! I suspect it's Talk Talk since I've recently terminated my contract with them. I simply refuse to pick up any calls from 0330 numbers and have a firm policy: if you’re not in my contacts, don’t expect me to engage! It’s exceptionally frustrating, especially as my dear mother-in-law is in a care facility, and we're on tenterhooks, waiting for potential distressing news from them. Absolutely it’s TalkTalk! I made the decision to end my broadband service, and what a nightmare it was trying to sort it all out. They just wouldn’t stop bombarding me with offers, despite my repeated refusals. In the end, I had to simply hang up in frustration. Yesterday, I called them to verify my disconnection date of October 9th, as it’s meant to be a 30-day notice. After navigating through their cancellation department, they informed me that my service wasn’t actually cancelled, and it would run until October 17th instead. I voiced my discontent, and after some back and forth, the line manager agreed to honour the 9th. But lo and behold, I received three emails saying they’re sorry to see me go on the 17th! Seriously, what a circus! 🤣 And to top it all off, they’ve started calling me on this number again. What a saga!

This has to be Talk Talk, they've been ringing me up a couple of times each day over the last week since I'm about to switch my broadband provider. It's strange because when I picked a new deal with them online for £23.50 a month, nothing changed - I kept getting charged nearly £35, even after switching to the offer they emailed me about twice. Got a missed call from this number, which was just TalkTalk pestering me nonstop after I booked my leave date. When I called back, the person was really rude and kept asking why I hadn’t taken up their so-called “Money saving offers,” like I was daft for not knowing. Definitely a known caller, but I explained I’m tied into a contract with a different internet provider, so the constant calls are just really irritating.

Got a call out of the blue from this number claiming to be TalkTalk. The guy asked for my address as some kind of security check. When I asked why, he snapped at me saying how else could I know they were from TalkTalk if I didn’t trust him. Felt a bit off but gave it anyway. Later rang TalkTalk myself, and they confirmed nobody from them called me from that number at all. They made a note and reported it. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust this number at all.

TalkTalk customer retention team rang me, pleading for me not to leave, offering a laughable deal that was still pricier than the new provider, even though they said I'd get a new router. I told them if they could manage to sell me the package at that lower price now, then why didn’t they offer it when I reached out last week to renew my contract - especially instead of hiking the cost? Bit pointless now after being with them for five years.

They didnt leave a voicemail but im currently moving away from TalkTalk to a different internet company, so after seeing what others said here, I’d guess it’s probably them calling. I usually dont call back if someone unknown rings and doesnt leave a message.

I didnt pick up, but I called the number back and it went straight to TalkTalk. Bit weird really since I was already chatting online with one of their virtual assistants when the call came through - the bloke over the phone ended up helping me sort it out anyway.

TalkTalk is the worst! I tried leaving but they just kept bombarding me with calls, emails, and even letters. Absolutely no way I’ll be going back. Their customer service, tech support, and internet service are all rubbish. My wifi kept cutting out for no reason. Total nightmare.

I’m done with them, their rubbish service and impossible to get hold off, now they keep calling non-stop and bombarding me with emails about ‘special deals’ (which weirdly don’t let you record anything on the telly anymore!!) Funny how they’re suddenly so keen to chat now I’m leaving? 😂😂

Had a quick look at other comments since I didn’t pick up that call. Sounds about right it was TalkTalk, especially as I was moving to a different provider. Yesterday I chatted with them on WeChat and got offered a way better deal, so I went ahead and signed up. Then today, this same number rang me. After I signed, I also completed a survey where I said to only contact me by email, but they’re clearly ignoring that. If they call again, I won’t hesitate to block the number.

Talk Talk gave me a ring after I’d already stopped my broadband with them. Funny thing is, it was a nightmare trying to get hold of them when I had problems, but now I’m cancelling, suddenly they want to chat. Go figure.

TalkTalk's customer retention is awful, their service is really poor. Even the 999 emergency calls don't go through, worst experience ever. Wonder why OFCOM hasn't done anything about it, 999 should always work. Best to steer clear, they're pretty much like scammers.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the Talk Talk Loyalty team since I’d cancelled my service. Turned out to be legit Talk Talk people. They gave me a really good discount and some credit to keep me from leaving, so I decided to stay with them in the end.
