I got caught up in another dodgy phone contract scam recently. A mate recommended I only pick up calls from people saved in my contacts and let all others go straight to voicemail. Honestly, that’s the best tip I’ve had in ages!

I usually ignore calls like this but felt like a bit of an argument today so I picked up. They stayed silent for like a minute and then just ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now, cheers to the advice from who called me (y)!

Total con artist. Pretending to be from Compare The Networks and 02, but it’s all a lie. Don’t pick up, block this number straight away. Also, share what happened to you here on Who-Called-Me to warn others about these dodgy scammers.

Got a call out of the blue from some bloke saying he was ringing from Compare The Networks for O2, but I reckon it was one of those dodgy scams going around. Best thing to do is just hang up and put the number on your block list!
