Got a call from someone pretending to be from HM Revenue & Customs, saying I owed more on my Income Tax and National Insurance. They kept asking for personal details and tried to get me to pay over the phone using my bank card. Don’t fall for it! They threatened arrest if I didn’t cooperate or pay up. They even said the police were on their way, but it’s been hours and no sign of them. I’ve also reported the number to HMRC.

Got a call from this number yesterday and again today, saying my national insurance was being used fraudulently. Then today, same number rang pretending to be from my broadband company, asking me to log into my online bank. Absolute clowns trying to scam people!

Huge HMRC SCAM going on!!! They just won’t quit, they keep calling and causing stress. Listen - they've already got loads of your personal info, what they really want now is your bank details so they can DRAIN your funds. Simply blocking them won’t help, they'll just keep getting new numbers all the time. If you actually want to hit back at these nasty scammers, report them to ACTION FRAUD on 0300 123 2040 or check their website for info. The sooner you act, the better chance there is they’ll get caught and put behind bars!

Got a call Tuesday from some bloke who straight away asked where he got my details and if I asked him to ring me. I told him about GDPR rules since March 2018, saying they need my permission to call. He claimed it was from a GDPR-approved marketing firm. I asked for their info, gave him my email for the details, but of course, no email came through. Pretty sure FCA wouldn't be pleased either, since cold calling about pension transfers ain't allowed. Save yourself the hassle and block their number, these lot are dodgy!

Got a weird call from a bloke with a posh London accent, sounded quite charming. He knew my name straight away and asked if I've had any independent financial advice, then started chatting about other money stuff. this number is defo being used to get leads in a dodgy way. i talked to the real managing director of the legit company and they said 0330 057 1857 are just cold calling. be careful, dont share any info with them. look up the legit company yourself online and make sure to report 0330 057 1857 to ofcom.
