I received a call from this number claiming to represent some financial services - they were inquiring about the start date of an upcoming employee. I managed to provide the information they sought, but when I pressed them for the name of their company and their contact number, they were decidedly evasive. They outright refused to escalate the matter to a supervisor. Thankfully, our reception system logged the incoming number. Subsequent investigations revealed that they are associated with TRUST 2 GUARANTOR LOANS, and we’ll be forwarding the recorded conversation to the ombudsman for further review.

Today, a chap rang in from this number, seeking a staff member. He mentioned it was regarding a private issue related to establishing a banking service. However, he then switched his tune and asserted it was a business inquiry instead. He identified himself as Vivek Sharma. When I probed him about which company he represented, he claimed he couldn’t disclose that information, citing GDPR regulations as the reason. How peculiar!
