7 yearsIn December, I got a text along with my usual monthly message from my phone provider. I called them up and they went ahead and blocked the number on my account. The message was linked to my Spotify, which was about to renew, so I decided to cancel that too. A little while later, I got another text about the £4.50 charge, just like before. I double-checked my phone bill and everything looked fine. Seems like whoever’s behind this tried to take the payment again on the due date but couldn’t. I’m not planning on getting in touch with them to tell them to stop texting or calling.7 yearsThey send messages trying to trick you out of cash, but you can’t even respond back. It’s a total scam.8 yearsGot a message just as I got my usual monthly Spotify update. It said something about Globalcams.world charging me £4.50 weekly?! I've no idea who they are.SpotifyGlobalcams8 yearsYeah, this definitely smells like one of those smishing scams. At first, I didn’t reply with “stop” 'cos I thought it was dodgy. So I rang O2 to check and they told me to go ahead and send the stop message. But guess what? Right after I did, they charged me £4.50! Loads of people on forums say you’ve gotta send the stop reply, but honestly, I’m not so sure anymore since I wasn’t charged before I sent it. Why on earth is O2’s support giving out this kind of advice? Makes me wonder if these scammers have mates working inside O2.8 yearsBeware of smishing! Never reply to these messages.8 yearsGot a text from this number claiming it’s a subscription charge from some site called globalcams.world costing £4.50 weekly. Sounds like one of those Smishing scams to me (SMS phishing). The message said something about texting STOP to 83463 to cancel and also had a “HELP?” number 03300538665. Better not reply or call any of the numbers in it, looks dodgy.Submit Your Own Report (0330 053 8665)
