Hey, I’ve been getting charged since September too. Has anyone taken this up with the police? I’m with EE, and I reckon the phone companies should be held accountable for this. We all have contracts with these providers, so they ought to make sure we’re not billed for stuff we haven’t used. They should ask us about any extra charges or promos before adding them. If these charges came from them, it’s their job to sort it out and refund us properly.

I contacted Vodafone, and they tried to ring up the number to halt any further payments, but sadly, they couldn't get back any of the money I'd lost already. I got this random text from a company called "nuyoo" saying something like "freemsg; you’re now a member of nuyoo - gym food plans @ [#]nuyoo{###] for £3 a week. Text stop to 83463 to quit. For help call 03300535869." I never signed up for anything like this, so I rang them to complain. The person on the other end said they’d refund two weeks (£6), which I’d get via text, but then I’d have to pop to the post office to actually collect the cash. I did that and got the refund, but honestly, they’d already taken way more money from me for a service I never agreed to!

What's more, they arranged a call with some supposed health and fitness company that claims to have millions of clients. They promised to send a refund via text, but surprise, surprise - nothing has come through!
