I got a really dodgy text pretending to be from REVOLUT. It told me to ring a certain number to stop a payment of £3240.40 going to some ALI MOHAMED. I had a good look at my REVOLUT app and there was nothing like that happening. What made it worse is that the message came from a number that actually looked like it was from REVOLUT. Super sneaky stuff...

Woke up to the same message at 5:55am GMT. Had no choice but to block the number that sent it.

Got a message claiming to be from Revolut saying someone tried to send £3240.40 to ALI MOHAMED. It told me to phone 0330 053 2735 if I didn’t authorise it, with a ref number RL3022. I rang the number but blocked my caller ID first. An automated voice said it was Revolut, then played some classical tunes before cutting me off. Seems like it could be a scam to me.
