Looks like a total con to me, just like a bunch of others have mentioned. Got a call about Barclays trying to set up a direct debit for Northampton Dental Hub or somethin. I’m not with Barclays and I actually go to a dentist much closer to where I live. So yeah, be careful - it’s probably a scam!

Got an email claiming I needed to arrange a Barclays loan for some dentist work. Totally fishy if you ask me, seemed like a classic scam. Wouldn't trust it for a second.

Just to clear it up for everyone, the proper email to send scam messages to is '[email protected]', not the one mentioned in the comment below. Hope this helps!

Got a dodgy email claiming to be from Barclays saying I’ve arranged to pay £438.75 in instalments on the 19th of January to Northampton Dental Hub. They included this number 0333 339 6406 to call back on. Honestly, don’t bother ringing - it’s definitely a scam.

Take a look at the message six posts down from this one. To put it simply: Send the email on to '[email protected]'. Next, use the phishing report option in your email (usually found by clicking the three dots in the top right corner) to flag it. The post below has further details. Reporting these kinds of scams is really crucial because it helps get them shut down faster. The more people who report it, the better the chance something will be done to stop it.

Watch out, this is a nasty scam! I noticed the details match what others have said, and it looks like they all kicked off earlier this afternoon. Seriously, whatever you do, don’t call the number back - just block it and report immediately ####

Dealing with scam emails isn't too tricky. Just send them over to '[email protected]'. Plus, don’t forget to flag the email via the phishing report option, usually found under the three dots at the top corner. Doing that helps get the scammer’s email shut down across the web.

Got emails claiming to be from Halifax and Barclays using this number, but it's totally dodgy. I don't even have accounts with them, so I know it's a scam. I've let both banks know about it, plus reported it to [email protected]. I also contacted my own bank just to be safe. Watch out for this one, it's definitely not legit.

Received an email supposedly from Barclays about a charge for Northampton Dental Hub, thought I better check. Rang Barclays using the number in their official app and they told me it’s definitely a scam! Watch out!

Got a suspicious email claiming to be from Barclays with a payment plan for Northampton Dental Hub supposedly in my name. I’ve never been to that dental practice or signed anything with them. The so-called customer service number they gave actually belongs to a chauffeur company in Oxford. Definitely a scam. I’ve informed Barclays, the dental clinic, and my bank (Santander) about it.
