Got a message from 0330 043 3675 with a one-time code for my bank and told to ring if I didn’t ask for it. They then asked me to verify how much money I had in my accounts as some kind of security check. I decided to call my bank later, and turns out, it definitely wasn’t them who phoned.

My bad, I just realised I wrote the wrong number in my last comment. If you get a scam text, you can send it to 7726 from any phone network. This one’s a fraudster again, faking being from First Direct.

Received a text claiming to be from First Direct, saying something about a “NEW DEVICE GALAXY S10” being added for online banking. It asked me to call 0330 1234567 if it wasn’t me. Honestly, do they think I’m daft? If you get any weird messages like this, make sure you send them to 7726. Here’s a link about these scams https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams
