Had a call from someone claiming to be from British Gas solar panels, but they were actually pushing roof repairs and maintenance. They use names like Roof Shield Ltd or A2B Homes and are operating around Southampton. My elderly relative, who’s 80, got tricked into paying £5,000 for a roof jet wash! They kept pushing and just wouldn’t accept a refusal. Definitely a hard sell to vulnerable folks and feels like a scam to me!
