03300434137 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03300434137 👆 is reported as a scam targeting businesses by falsely claiming prior agreements to sponsor school campaigns, such as anti-bullying or first aid initiatives. Callers insist on receiving immediate payments under the pretext of discounts and are persistent in obtaining names and details. Many recipients deny any knowledge of such arrangements and note that the callers sometimes mention nearby schools incorrectly. The callers often threaten to play back alleged recordings to pressure recipients, but no legitimate sponsorship exists. This scam appears to originate from the North West of England and reuses similar tactics from previous fraudulent campaigns related to schools. Visitors should remain vigilant and confirm any sponsorship claims directly with their intended organisations.

I got a call out of the blue thanking me for agreeing to sponsor first aid gear for a local school. The thing is, I had no clue about any of it. They told me we’d talked a few months back, but I honestly can’t remember. Just a heads up - this sounds like a scam to me, so watch out!

Today I got a call from someone saying they were following up about a Road Safety campaign, but as soon as I asked a question they just ended the call. They kept pushing to talk to a specific person, then suddenly stopped and just hung up. So frustrating!

Today I got a call from someone saying they were with an anti-bullying campaign and were thanking us for sponsoring them. They then mentioned some sort of discount if we paid straight away with a credit or debit card. When we said we hadn’t signed up for anything, they just got off the phone.

Got a call from someone saying my husband (mentioned his name) had agreed back in spring to sponsor an anti-bullying book, and they asked which school we wanted it sent to. We had no idea about any of this, but they kept saying our name would be printed in the book. I told them that definitely wasn’t true as we never gave permission (already smelt a scam coming). Then asked what school they had listed for us - turned out it wasn’t even our local school! Although, they weren’t total mugs as the school was somewhere nearby. When I refused to let them use our name, they said they’d call back with a recording of the conversation with my husband! Quite cheeky, really.

Looks like a con trying to get cash from companies by claiming they’ve signed up to support some sort of ‘good cause’ in schools. This time it’s about emergency services and education. A very similar scam was going around a few years back, but that one was about drugs in schools. From what I’ve heard, these crooks might be based somewhere near Manchester or the northwest of England.
