Somebody tricked my dad into handing over his card info for a supposed gas boiler cover. Thankfully I caught bits of their chat and quickly called the bank. HSBC had already stopped the transaction and they're sorting out a new debit card for us. Since then, that number keeps calling but we just ignore it now. Seriously, don’t share any of your details with these people!

So, this morning my elderly neighbour got a call from this number trying to convince her to buy some appliance insurance she really didn’t need. Luckily, her bank spotted the payment wasn’t right and blocked it, plus they’re sending her a replacement card now.
