On 19/3, I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. The voice was all muffled and hard to understand, but they said if I didn’t press “1” I’d be hit with a £499 fee for some subscription I’ve never heard of. Total scam, no doubt about it.

03/01/2019 The audio was really bad, so hard to understand. They kept saying something like "press 1," then warned that if I didn't cancel, they'd take money from my account. Proper dodgy call.

I got a call saying it was Microsoft warning me that my account would be suspended soon and I’d have to pay £470 to sort it out. It was just some recorded message though.

This number has called me three times just today, and I’ve had about half a dozen calls this week. They say they're from BT and that my broadband and phone line will be disconnected. They ask you to press 1 to speak with a BT engineer. Definitely sounds dodgy.
BT

No one said who they were but they warned that our service might be stopped unless we pressed some button to speak straight away. We always sort out our phone bills quickly, and if BT had a problem, they’d definitely let us know properly and not just with a robotic voice. It really seemed like some kind of recorded message trying to trick us.
