Got a text saying to ring back because there was a booking on Airbnb for over 500 quid that apparently wasn’t mine. They wanted me to call if I hadn't made it.

SCAM ALERT - They're fishing for your personal info to take control of your account! I received a text supposedly from HSBCUKPASCD: "Your One Time Passcode is 848510 for a transaction of £595.50 to AIRBNB - REF: BR99PG2. If this wasn’t you, please ring us at 0330 027 1105." As a customer of HSBC, I was momentarily taken in and decided to call. The pitch sounded very convincing, but thankfully, I refrained from sharing any sensitive info since I didn’t have my account details or bank card with me. The last thing they tried was to persuade me to switch accounts... that was a close call!
