I received a call from 0330 022 4254, apparently linked to Sterling Insurance. They claim to be authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, reference number 309073. Upon clicking on their Privacy Policy, I was redirected to a secure site identified by a padlock symbol: sterling-insurance.co.uk/privacy/. On the top of that page, there are two contact numbers provided-one for new clients, which is 0344 381 9990, and another for current clients, also 0344 381 9990. A bit puzzling, isn’t it? It appears that both numbers are identical. They seem credible enough, particularly since I found them through Go Compare, but I'd advise proceeding with a healthy dose of caution. Got a call from some telemarketing firm Stella Europe, saying they’re ringing for Vanquis. I tried ringing back, and all I got was a recorded message telling me to dial 03300221491 if I want the calls to stop. Like that’s gonna actually do anything, right? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t! What a joke.

I’ve had calls from Stella Europe pushing me to get some security for my Vanquis card, saying hackers might break into their system. When I asked if it was a genuine risk, they reckoned it was quite likely I’d be targeted soon. I was like, “Oh no then!” and asked if cancelling the card would stop the danger. So, I went ahead and cancelled the Vanquis card, telling them in no uncertain terms that their system was the real risk. It’s a two-way street, isn’t it? I’m done with their nonsense.

This particular number seems to persistently ring our home phone daily-occasionally even up to four times! When it finally goes to voicemail, it proceeds to buzz my mobile, which I refuse to pick up. Is there any method to put a stop to these incessant calls?
