I’ve had a rather harrowing experience today with a particularly pushy PPI caller. It’s astonishing, I’ve received five of these calls just today! Clearly, I'm on some sort of auto-dialler system. When I inquired about the firm the agent claimed to represent, ‘The Payment and Protection Team’, he outright refused to share any contact information. I mentioned that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, to which he arrogantly stated that I was listed on a banking financial database and declined to provide any more information. His tactics were alarmingly forceful.

The bloke on the line wouldn’t tell me who he was with, just said it was "The Payments and Protection Team." My ten-year-old lad has been plagued by these peculiar phone calls lately. He inadvertently dialled back one time and ended up stuck listening to a monotonous 'your call matters to us' spiel for what felt like ages.
