Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I didn’t get my PPI from seven years back. Except I know it was paid - to HMRC, not me. I asked for my son when they called again, I told them he was at work. Then they said they wanted to speak to me again. Definitely sounded like a scam, so I just ended the call.

Today, I received a rather suspicious call from 03300100883. An individual with an Indian accent informed me that I had some PPI reimbursements waiting from HMRC. He requested my door number to verify my identity. I immediately felt uneasy about the conversation and decided to hang up.

Got calls about a debt, and first they said they were from Citizens Advice, then suddenly they said they’re with Money Advice. Every time I block one number, they ring me again from some other one. Even blocked them on WhatsApp, and the next thing I know, a different number’s calling asking why I blocked them lol. Such a pain!

I received a rather dubious phone call suggesting that I ought to extend my life insurance. When I pressed the caller for information, they couldn’t even provide the name of the insurer or my policy number. He just kept waffling on about their dealings with a multitude of insurance firms. What really irked me was how he insisted on addressing me as ‘Mr’ followed by my first name. I had to remind him that in the UK, we use 'Mr' with the surname, not the given name. It’s crystal clear to me this is a scam, so I'd advise everyone to steer clear of such nonsense!

When I attempted to return the call, I was met with a message saying the number was unavailable. Quite the dodgy experience, if you ask me!
