Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I didn’t get my PPI from seven years back. Except I know it was paid - to HMRC, not me. I asked for my son when they called again, I told them he was at work. Then they said they wanted to speak to me again. Definitely sounded like a scam, so I just ended the call.

This number called me but I didn’t answer. So I checked it here to see if it was something worth worrying about. Looks like it’s a scam from what other people are saying. Not gonna bother calling back.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from Serenity and could help me get tax back from HMRS and even PPI. I told him I wasn’t interested, but then he just started talking nonsense, so I had to tell him once more that I wasn’t interested!

Today, I received a rather suspicious call from 03300100883. An individual with an Indian accent informed me that I had some PPI reimbursements waiting from HMRC. He requested my door number to verify my identity. I immediately felt uneasy about the conversation and decided to hang up.
Be cautious, everyone - it seems the fraudsters are back at it again!

Got a call from someone calling himself Colin who said they were giving out free hearing tests. Not sure why they assumed I’d be interested, plus he didn’t sound very legit at all. I just ended up blocking the number.

This guy called claiming to be from the National Debt Helpline, but honestly, it was such a waste of my time. Not that I minded though, I actually had a bit of fun with it.

Got calls about a debt, and first they said they were from Citizens Advice, then suddenly they said they’re with Money Advice. Every time I block one number, they ring me again from some other one. Even blocked them on WhatsApp, and the next thing I know, a different number’s calling asking why I blocked them lol. Such a pain!

When I picked up, they didn’t say anything for what felt like forever. Eventually, they said they were from some insurance firm asking about a policy, but I’ve never had one with them. Definitely a scam!

I got a call claiming to be from Legal and General about my life insurance, but they kept using a name I haven't gone by in ages and kept mentioning an address I haven't lived at for years. Quite suspicious really.

I received a rather dubious phone call suggesting that I ought to extend my life insurance. When I pressed the caller for information, they couldn’t even provide the name of the insurer or my policy number. He just kept waffling on about their dealings with a multitude of insurance firms. What really irked me was how he insisted on addressing me as ‘Mr’ followed by my first name. I had to remind him that in the UK, we use 'Mr' with the surname, not the given name. It’s crystal clear to me this is a scam, so I'd advise everyone to steer clear of such nonsense!

Somebody called saying they were from a life insurance firm wanting to make sure my policy was enough. I gave them my insurance info, but then the line just cut off. I tried ringing them back but couldn’t get through, number appeared unavailable. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Somebody rang saying they were from a life insurance firm wanting to confirm if my policy was enough. Sadly, I gave out my insurance info. Then suddenly the call just cut off. I tried dialling them back but the number just wouldn't connect.

I had a rather curious phone call from a company purporting to be involved in life insurance, wanting to confirm whether my life cover would last until I hit the ripe old age of 90. The caller was keen to know specifics about my coverage. However, once he transferred me to an advisor, the line suddenly went silent. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with a message saying the number was unavailable. Quite the dodgy experience, if you ask me!
