I received a call on my mobile from this number (I do wonder how they manage to obtain our digits) and they requested to speak to me by name. When I inquired, 'Could I ask who's calling?', their response was simply 'What?'. I then pressed for clarification, stating, 'Could you please tell me who you are?', and unsurprisingly, the rather courteous-sounding woman abruptly disconnected the call instead of introducing herself. A woman said they were from something called Pensions Review Service. When I asked if they were a private firm (because she was trying to make me believe they were part of the Pensions Advisory Service), she hesitantly admitted yes but said they’re regulated by the FSA. I told her I already have a financial advisor, cheers, and she hung up. I blocked the number straight away. Yet, I’ve had 11 calls from that same number in the last couple hours. Pretty sure there’ll be more. I’m now reporting it to the ICO online. Maybe it’ll help put an end to these calls at some point.
