I received a telephone call purporting to be from the fraud department at Lloyds. The caller informed me that there was a dubious direct debit being initiated in my name and asked if I had authorised it, to which I replied negatively. They then requested my bank details and username for verification purposes. I found that rather dubious and decided to terminate the conversation. When I rang Lloyds directly to report this number, they assured me it wasn't their line at all.
