I got a call saying my electric meter was faulty and they needed a reading. It didn’t sit right with me, so I asked for their phone number and said I’d ring back. They gave me 03300012441. When I asked about my meter details, they seemed clueless, which made me suspicious. What could they possibly want with my meter reading anyway?

I got a call from a number claiming they were from Citizens Advice, but I don’t think that was true.

Got a call from someone saying they were offering financial advice or debt help. They had my details, probably from some data I agreed to share somewhere. The person on the phone spoke with a thick accent and wasn’t fluent in English.

They called me up and the first question they asked was who my life insurance provider was, which felt pretty abrupt. They were quite pushy and said they’d keep ringing me. I didn’t want to deal with that so I ended up blocking the number.

Definitely a scam number, dodgy from the start.

Good job I checked the number, especially since it was a bank holiday. Felt a bit dodgy to me, so I just went ahead and blocked it.

Somebody rang me on a bank holiday but just ended the call before I got a chance to pick up. Seems a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I just wanted to share my experience with this number-it’s definitely a dodgy one! I was on the hunt for a job, so I thought I'd pick up when they called. To my surprise, every time I answered, it was a different person representing a different company. It felt very much like a scam operation!

I got two calls from some debt collectors on the 1st of May, both on Wednesday. Honestly, feels like nothing but harassment to me.

This number just rang me, and they said I'd asked about an IVA online due to some unsecured debt. Thing is, I've never done any such enquiry. When I told them that, they just cut off. Seems like a total scam to me.

Typical dodgy lot, probably trying to con you, just like every other pest.

Seen the reviews, so I’m just gonna let this call go to voicemail.

My wife was looking into an IVA and this number kept ringing us. They kept pushing for her bank details and statements, but we never gave them anything. At one point, they even wanted her to let them access her bank account directly. That’s when we decided to look into it and discovered that this number is tied to scams. Quite dodgy, honestly.

Got loads of calls and texts from someone claiming to be from a debt company, saying I owe money and that bailiffs will soon come around if I don’t sort it out. Definitely a scam trying to scare folk by using the real company’s name.
