I got a couple of calls from this number claiming to be O2, saying I could get 40% off my bill for being a loyal customer. When I asked the woman, who had an Indian accent, why they wouldn’t just send the details through properly, she called me back from another number. I waited on hold for a bit and then the call just dropped. Pretty clear she knew I wasn’t buying it. Avoid this number, it’s definitely not O2!

Got a call from an Indian-sounding voice claiming to be from a loan firm, saying I’d been approved with no upfront fees or anything. Then they tried to get me to pay the first month straight away, which seemed dodgy to me. I just told them no and ended the call. Definitely smells like a scam to me.

It seems like someone's trying to impersonate O2! It's quite alarming when folks go about pretending to be a well-known service provider. Always best to stay cautious and verify any communications you're unsure of.

They said they were calling from O2 but I’m not even with O2, so I just ended the call like I do with these kind of scammers. Definitely wasn’t legit.

Just like some others have said, I got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2. I received a text that looked like it was from O2 telling me a code was coming. Soon after, a code arrived with instructions to type it in (but no clear place to put it) to access my O2 account. I decided to mess about a bit, hanging up a few times, and they kept calling straight back. When I said the line kept dropping, they didn’t seem to believe me at first but after a while, they gave up. Absolutely a SCAM, so watch out!

Beware! There’s a scam going around involving your O2 account. If someone contacts you and asks for your verification code, do not, under any circumstances, provide it! They're impersonating O2 and their aim is to make purchases under your name, falsely claiming there’s been a system error. They might even ask you to return the item for a refund, which is all part of their deceitful plan. I’d recommend dialling 202 to block that number immediately!

Fraudulent caller, without a doubt. It's best to cut the line and notify someone about it.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, definitely didn’t sound local, more like an overseas number. He claimed to be from O2 and said they’re giving a 40% discount on phone bills due to Covid. Then he sent me a text with some code and asked me to share it with him. I said no way and refused. He kept going on about how I was nearly getting my discount, but I told him I was about to lose cash if I carried on and just ended the call!

Got a call claiming I’m a regular O2 user, offering me a deal with extra data and double minutes. I told them I’m fine with my current plan and don’t want anything extra, but the bloke kept pushing. Then, out of nowhere, I got a text that looked like it was from O2. The caller asked for the code in it, trying to sound legit, but I knew it was fishy so I just ended the call. He rang back right away but I ignored it. Honestly, I hope no one gets caught out by this scam.

Got a call on my landline 03300011202 around 3.22pm today. The person on the end spoke with a really thick Indian accent, saying something about O2 offering a 40% discount or some sort of deal. I told her I wasn’t interested but she just kept pushing, saying I have a phone and should do it straight away. Honestly, no way I thought it was genuine O2 - sounded like a total scam to me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, but the sound was so rubbish it was hard to understand. The number started with 0330, which I thought should be a landline, and since I was at home the whole time, it felt a bit dodgy. Made me think it could be a scam or maybe they were using a fake number. Anyway, I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it now.

Someone called saying they were from O2 and tried to give me a 40% discount, but I told them I use EE. It sounded dodgy, so I ended the call pretty quick. Real O2 reps wouldn’t be offering deals on EE, so I’m sure it was a scam.

Got a call from 03300011202 claiming to be from O2, but I told them I don't have an account with them. After that, the person started shouting horrible insults at me, calling me a ####@n and some other awful names. They said they wanted to [email protected] me or something like that. Then they just hung up. Moments later, they rang back and asked why I ended the call, then carried on with the nasty abuse, asking if I even understood what they were saying. They've tried ringing a few more times since then. Honestly, I’m really shaken up by it all.

Dodgy scam alert! Some bloke rang me up pretending to be from o2, saying there’s a discount for everyone coz of covid. Then he got me a legit o2 verification code and wanted me to tell it to him - if I had, he could’ve got into my account. Just so you know, o2 would NEVA ask you for that code on the phone. Watch out folks, these scammers really need to be wiped out.

I got a call from 03300011202, a bloke speaking with an Indian accent. He claimed to be calling from O2, trying to sell me a 40% discount on a SIM only deal - problem is, I don’t even have a SIM only contract. He then sent me an SMS with some code he said would unlock my O2 account and asked me to read it out while he kept the line open. I wisely refused and ended the call. Tried to ring O2 afterwards, but they had no answer since they were swamped!
