Someone called saying they were from Barclays fraud team, sounded pretty legitimate at first. Then they asked me to open my Barclaycard app and check for an authorisation code, which made me wary. I cut the call short. The caller said if I didn’t follow instructions they’d have to freeze my card but I told them to go ahead. Turns out my card stayed active and none of the transactions they mentioned showed up on my account.
