Just a heads up. I got a text saying it was from NATIONWIDE telling me a payment was going out of my account. I replied with “N” straight away. Not long after, this number rang me. The guy said he worked for Nationwide’s fraud dept. What freaked me out was he actually knew my name and where I live. But then he mentioned something about a direct debit being set up on my account and I knew pretty quickly it was a con. While he was chatting away, my missus phoned Nationwide herself. The moment the caller found out, he hung up sharpish!
