I received a phone call from someone who urged me to power up my computer and give them access to an Eversoft account. However, as soon as I began to interrogate him and asked for some proof of his affiliation with the company, the call suddenly dropped.

I’ve been getting loads of calls pretty much daily for the past three weeks, insisting I switch on my computer so they can "access my Eversoft account." The bloke won’t give me any password to prove he’s really from Eversoft, which seemed fishy right away. He came across as super pushy and quite scary. No doubt it’s a scam!

They rang up saying my computer needed an update and that I should switch it on, but as soon as I questioned what they were on about, they just hung up.
