Got a text earlier claiming to be from Capital One about some suspicious activity on my card. This came a few weeks after an actual fraud I had where a charge went through at midnight. The message seemed a bit off, so I rang up Capital One to check and they said they never sent anything like that. Then, not long after, I got a phone call from an 03300 number, which made me suspect they were trying to chase up that dodgy text about the “fraud.”

Received a phone call from someone saying they're from Natwest, trying to check my personal details. They also followed up with a text and an email, pretending to be Natwest. After I got in touch with Natwest directly, they confirmed they hadn’t contacted me at all.
