Received a call from someone posing as a representative of the Nationwide Fraud Team, claiming there was an unauthorised direct debit being processed from my account. They insisted I needed to use my card reader to verify my card's authenticity. They introduced themselves as Matthew Anderson, but when I contacted the actual Nationwide fraud department, they confirmed there's no one by that name working there. Clearly an attempt to fish for my banking information.

I received a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from Lloyds Bank’s fraud department. They weren't able to verify a transaction I made recently. Feeling a bit suspicious, I decided to hang up and contact Lloyds directly. Turns out, it wasn’t actually them calling at all!

I've had a rather unsettling experience with some phishing con artists posing as representatives from Santander's fraud division, attempting to pry into my banking information. It's quite alarming how they masquerade as legitimate entities to deceive people!
