Today I got a call from a bloke claiming he was looking into an incident for Birmingham City Council and the NHS, asking if I'd been involved in any accidents. When I questioned why the city council was involved, he suddenly changed his story and said he was actually calling on behalf of the UK government. His accent gave it away straight away - sounded like he was from the Hindi-speaking area of the Indian subcontinent. Since I understand Hindi, I told him to stop bothering me and that I'd report him, saying he could get into trouble for this. He hung up right after that.

So I got a call from this bloke named Mike, sounded like he had an Asian accent, saying he was ringing from Birmingham City Council about some accident. I told him I never had any accident, then he said someone in my house did. I said no one else lives here but me. Then he asked where my husband or partner was, I told him to mind his own business and just ended the call.

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were ringing from the local council, but they said it was for the NHS. They told me they had some info about me being in an accident. Since I haven't had any accidents recently, I just knew it was a scam. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number!

I got called by the same number and when I told them I hadn’t been in any accident, they just started swearing at me, saying stuff like “go f**k yourself, you motherf***er”. Not exactly what you want to hear when you’re feeling rough and had to drag yourself out of bed to pick up the phone.

A caller reached out, claiming there'd been an accident involving us in the past three years. When we clarified that this wasn't the case, she questioned us with a "are you absolutely certain?" and then abruptly hung up. She had a Chinese accent, I believe. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

We experienced something similar. After we hung up, she rang us back, so we decided to end the call again. When she attempted to reach out for a third time, we chose not to answer.
