I received a call from someone who had a noticeable Indian accent, claiming to represent BT. He insisted that our internet connection had been compromised by international hackers. I was sceptical of his story and voiced my doubts, which prompted him to hurl abuse at me. So, I terminated the call, but to my surprise, he rang back and unleashed a tirade of foul language at my wife instead. She ended the call as well, yet that same number proceeded to ring us another three or four times, but we chose to ignore it altogether.
