They kept ringing me every hour starting at 8:35 in the morning! I don’t even have a phone upstairs anymore, so I got really worried it might be something serious, especially with my elderly dad being here. I’ve got osteoarthritis too, and the thought of rushing down the stairs in a panic made me nervous about falling. I noticed the number but didn’t answer. Honestly, it was both upsetting and frustrating. How do these lot even get hold of landline numbers to keep pestering folks? Seriously, there needs to be stronger measures in place in this country to stop these nasty calls.

This number kept ringing me four times right from about 9 in the morning until quarter to 1. I already had my call blocker set up, so I just added it to the block list after the first ring. Honestly, they're clearly just trying to scam people!

But I’ve seen loads of comments saying it’s a dodgy scam, where they try to tell you your internet has been hacked or something. What’s worse is that the calls come from what look like genuine numbers starting with 030, which are normally for charities and public services. I’d recommend blocking this number straight away and definitely don’t ring back or follow any instructions they give you.

Got calls from them every 15 mins non-stop, must be near twenty times today alone. It's this recorded voice of some Kate warning me my IP got hacked or something. No clue how to stop their calls. Usually I just hang up straight away, but if I keep quiet and don’t respond at all, the message never plays. Really annoying!

I've had a similar call, supposedly from BT engineering, accusing me of hacking gov sites using my IP. The guy had no clue what my IP was, kept passing me to someone higher up. Eventually, they admitted I wasn’t a BT customer but couldn't say who my actual provider was, even after I asked over and over. Then they just hung up. They wanted me to switch on my PC, which I reckon was so they'd get me to open some dodgy site and end up infecting my machine, probably to make it part of a botnet or something. Classic scam if you ask me.

Just got a call at 9:01 in the morning from 03012478540, all automated. They said something about my IP address being used for some kinda rack or hack thing (can’t exactly recall). Then, they warned my service would get cut off if I didn’t ring a certain number. After that, it told me to hold on for someone to come on the line, but it was just a load of garbled nonsense. Got a message that started with "Kate from your broadband company" then it just abruptly ended. I tried to pop the number into BT Call Protect to block it, but it didn’t register, so I couldn't stop it that way! Seems like they’ve found a sneaky new tactic to dodge our blocking attempts. I’m going to report it to the proper channels, but honestly, I’m not hopeful anything will change. The scammers always seem to be just ahead of the regulators. I reckon the companies handing out these numbers should be held accountable too.
