Got an email claiming my TV licence needed paying by tonight, with a number to ring if I had questions. But my licence isn’t even due until May, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got an email from someone saying they were TV licensing, saying I owe money and if I don’t pay up they’ll send debt collectors. They told me to ring 03007906050 for more info, but that number isn’t a real TV licensing contact. I’m already well over 75 years old anyway. Feels like a scam to me.

I got an email claiming my TV licence account was overdue, but the date was written in the US format, 6/12/2019. Over here in the UK, I was actually paid up well ahead of time then. This is the second time I've had one of these emails. So, I rang TV Licensing myself using a number I found independently, not the one in the email. They confirmed my account is all good and mentioned they've gotten a bunch of similar complaints. They advised me to just ignore and delete any more messages like that.
