I feel compelled to bring this number to your attention as I recently received a rather alarming call claiming that I'm under investigation for supposedly owing £441 to HM Revenue and Customs. The caller appeared to have access to my email and even knew which bank I use, which is Nationwide. I must say, this has left me quite unsettled. When I attempted to return the call, it turned out the number isn’t valid, solidly confirming my suspicions that it’s a scam. As someone who's unwell, I truly can't bear the stress these nonsensical scammers cause. Honestly, I can’t quite wrap my head around how I fell for it initially, as surely a legitimate HM Revenue and Customs inquiry would come with a proper letter to my home address? I’m certain I have no outstanding debts with them. I would appreciate this matter being looked into promptly.
