Got a dodgy call from 03002003452 saying it was HMRC and I had to press 1, total scam!

I just got a call from 03002003454, saying there’s a warrant out for my arrest if I don’t hit 1 immediately. How on earth do the phone providers let these scam calls go on? It’s mad that nobody is stopping this rubbish. Seriously, what’s even supposed to happen if you press 1? Feels like a total trap.
