I received a call with an automated voice claiming to be from "HM Revenue and Customs," stating there's an outstanding tax debt. It threatened that failure to settle the amount would lead to arrest and imprisonment. They even offered some options to make a payment. It's clear that HMRC wouldn't communicate in such a manner, so without a doubt, this is a scam!
