Today I got a call on my phone from the number 03003337799, and there was a woman’s automated voice saying someone tried to make a payment of around £700 at ARGOS and to press 1 if I didn’t authorise it. I just ended the call straight away since it felt dodgy. Tried searching the number online but couldn’t find anything about it.

Just got called on my mobile from 03003337799. It was an automated woman saying she was from Lloyds Bank and that there was a suspicious purchase of about £700 at ARGOS. She told me to press 1 if it wasn’t me. I didn’t trust it and ended the call straight away. I tried searching the number online but found nothing, so I reckon it’s some kind of scam. Wanted to update my previous post but couldn’t see how to edit it, so thought I’d share it here.
