I'm a bit baffled here. The person I'm looking after got a call from this number, didn't pick up, yet somehow there's a charge of 90p for a six-minute call on their phone bill. Apparently, this number is connected to the NHS checking eligibility for free prescriptions. How is it possible they’re being charged if they never answered or dialled the call? this is about nhs prescriptions. unless you’re getting benefits, you usually have to pay for your meds. for instance, if your esa or anything like that stops, then prescription charges become your responsibility. you can ask for an hsc1 form if you’re on a low income, fill it out and send it back, and they’ll take care of it for ya.

Had a run-in with the NHS, they tried charging me £50 for a nasal spray that’s only meant to cost £3. Proper rip-off if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying they're from the NHS Business Services Authority. Apparently, they're verifying if people are entitled to free prescriptions and trying to get back payments for medical costs. Bit worrying, really.
