I got a call today and picked up, but after a few seconds, this automated woman’s voice came on saying "good buy". I just ended the call straight away.

I answered the phone but just stayed quiet, hoping they'd say something. After a few moments of silence, a recorded voice came on saying "Goodbye." Then I ended the call. These calls are so annoying, especially when they don't say who they are!

I called Step Change, the debt charity, to ask for some advice and to go through a budget form. They said it would take around an hour, then they'd send me a report by email so I could deal with my creditors. But the call ended up lasting 1 hour and 27 minutes, and BT billed me £10.78 for calling an 03 number at 7pm. Definitely not going to bother using them again.
